Burns Night Celebrations

We all had fun at our traditional Burns Night celebrations on Sunday evening.  After the haggis had been carried in on a silver salver at the start of the proceedings, accompanied by a piper in his kilt, Mr Duke recited Robbie Burns's famous poem 'Address to a Haggis' in his best Scottish accent and cut the haggis in a very theatrical and dramatic manner!  In addition to trying the haggis (some more willingly than others!), we also enjoyed delicious 'neeps' and 'tatties'.  We then worked off the calories with an energetic ceilidh in the sports hall!
