Successful Skating!

We had another lovely evening teaming up with Hall House to celebrate the end of term and the start of Christmas with skating in Victoria Park on an enlarged rink, and worked up healthy appetites for the range of different cuisines at the ever popular Jimmy's restaurant.  Much fun was had by all and, fortunately, no accidents on the ice!

Santa visits Fonthill!

We all had fun buying a gift for our Secret Santa night and were delighted to see that Santa had delivered a present to everyone again this year!

Christmas Candy Canes

As is Fonthill's tradition, we sold candy canes again this year to raise money for our House charities, continuing support for the Kenyan Restart Centre and also supporting Sands (Stillbirth and neonatal death). After a busy week's selling, Fonthill elves were then busy tying the red cards with personalised Christmas messages to over 1500 candy canes, raising over £1,000.

Saturday night Christmas celebrations

On the last Saturday of term, we had fun pulling Christmas crackers and trying Chiara's panettone - a delicious Italian sweet bread loaf often enjoyed at this time of year.

Don't go, Chiara!  We want you to stay! We're going to miss you!

It's Party Time!

There was great excitement in Fonthill on Saturday night as Year 10s and 11s dressed up ready to party the night away at their traditional annual ball!

It's Christmas Time!

We all love the last weekend in November when we unpack the Christmas decorations and make Fonthill look truly festive.  It didn't take us long to all feel full of Christmas spirit!

Italian Night in Fonthill!

Chiara treated us to a feast of Italian food on Saturday night, cooking mountains of authentic and delicious Italian pasta and showing us how to prepare tiramisu. Thank you, Chiara!

Circuit of Bath Walk

The weather was kind for Sunday's Circuit of Bath Walk in aid of Julian House (a local charity which works to support socially excluded people and help empower them to build sustainable, independent lives).  All did well on the hilly terrain but Rupert, Fonthill's favourite canine(!), is to be congratulated in particular for his exceptional energy levels and boundless enthusiasm!
