Taken Prisoner by Year 13s!

The Year 13s enjoyed their last day of official lessons and teaching by dressing up as police and as prisoners, and particularly enjoyed soaking students (and staff!) with some extraordinarily large water pistols!

Party in the Park!

We were treated to another fabulous evening by Kingswood's vocalists and musicians performing at Green Park to celebrate the opening of Bath's International Music Festival.  There was the most wonderful atmosphere created by the spine-tingling singing from a large number of singers, including many Fonthill girls.  Many congratulations to Issy C, Yasmine, Jess B, Lizzy, Zoe B, Emily, Alice and Daisy!!  Another great Friday evening's entertainment!

'Thank you' Tea Party!

Sadly, the weather didn't allow us to hold our traditional tea party outside this year but it didn't stop us all still enjoying strawberries, clotted cream, scones and cakes to thank the House Prefects for all their hard work supporting the smooth running of Fonthill and in particular the boarding house.

Year 13 Tutor Breakfast!

Year 13s and Mrs Patterson celebrated their last tutorial time together with a breakfast feast (including a wide range of non-typical breakfast foods!), and reminisced over their favourite moments in Fonthill and gave their thoughts over what they think each other will be doing in ten years' time!

Golden Day for Esmee!

Many congratulations to both Esmee and Masha for completing their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards!! Given that these are huge undertakings and require enormous commitment of time and energy, and can be completed over a number of years up to the age of 22, both girls have done amazingly well to have achieved these awards in their final year at school.  Masha is still waiting for a date for the presentation of her award, but Esmee was particularly lucky to be invited to a presentation ceremony this week, and at Buckingham Palace!!

We were lucky to have the sun shining for our Sunday evening Boarder Barbecue!

Side Splitting Laughs!

On Friday night, a team of very talented performers, including two Fonthill girls - Yasmine and Louise - kept a full theatre entertained with very amusing, improvised sketches and routines based on suggestions from the audience.  It was a fabulous way to end our week and no one wanted the evening to end! Their ability to think on their feet and create such hilarious scenes is admirable!

Bouncing Fun in Swindon!

Due to popular demand, another trip to Swindon's trampolining centre and shopping outlet was organised for last weekend.  Judging by the looks on everyone's faces and hearing of their experiences on their return it was, unquestionably, just as much fun as last time!
