Leavers' Day fun and games...

Year 13 students couldn't have asked for better weather for their last day in school before study leave.  Despite their 'nuclear fallout' theme, the sun shone from dawn til dusk and they entertained all in school with scary costumes and amusing activities.  Thanks to literally Mediterranean temperatures, younger students didn't mind being bombarded by the 'military' with water bombs or being sprayed with water pistols by the zombies or decontamination officials!

Early morning antics outside Fonthill, waiting to pounce on boarders as they leave for breakfast!

Another Music Festival...!

This time it was the turn of the younger Kingswood students to enjoy performing.  Many Year 9 Fonthill girls were involved playing a wide range of instruments in the Key Stage 3 "Make Noise" Music Festival at school on the Thursday before half term.  In addition to enjoying themselves and entertaining an audience, they were also helping raise money for Hope and Homes for Children, a charity working to close all orphanages worldwide and support children into loving families.

Strawberries, Scones and Sunshine!

This year's tea party to thank House Prefects for all their hard work helping with the smooth running of Fonthill was held outside -  a cream tea with strawberries and cakes tastes even better than usual if the sun is shining!

Party in the Park....!

Once again, Kingswood School students provided a wonderful evening's entertainment as part of the celebrations on the opening night of this year International Music Festival.  It was lovely to see so many Fonthill girls enjoying the event at Green Park, either on the stage or dancing in the audience!

Fun in the sun...

We couldn't have asked for better weather for our boarders' walk - sunshine and a cool breeze made for the perfect conditions for a lovely stroll for over 100 students, resident staff (and dogs!) up behind school and across Lansdown, enjoying far reaching and stunning views across Bath.  An ice cream stop at the racecourse made a welcome break before returning via the Upper playing fields.

Birthday Celebrations!

Spirits were high as we celebrated Janice's birthday on Saturday evening.  She generously shared surprise, handmade cupcakes which arrived special delivery before everyone played lots of party games including pass-the-parcel with forfeits and the all-time favourite chocolate game!

Happy Birthday, Janice!
