Circuit of Bath Walk

The weather was kind for Sunday's Circuit of Bath Walk in aid of Julian House (a local charity which works to support socially excluded people and help empower them to build sustainable, independent lives).  All did well on the hilly terrain but Rupert, Fonthill's favourite canine(!), is to be congratulated in particular for his exceptional energy levels and boundless enthusiasm!

Saturday Night Smoothies!

The kitchen was a hive of industry on Saturday night as girls enjoyed cutting up lots of different fruit to make their own smoothies to give them energy for Sunday's sponsored walk!

Boarders' Camping Trip

7 Fonthill girls from Year 9 and Year 12 were among the 36 boarders who set off camping on Saturday afternoon near Symond's Yat.  Despite chilly weather, much fun was had as tents were pitched and touch rugby played before enjoying delicious steaks and burgers cooked to perfection on the barbecue by Mr Chua.  It was a busy evening for him as he then played his guitar to accompany the singing round the camp fire!
After an early start on Sunday morning, campers expertly dismantled their tents and set off for an uphill trek to the top of Symond's Yat Rock, Despite the tired legs at the top of the climb, everyone agreed it was worth it for the stunning views out over the River Wye followed by lots of fun either climbing or caving.

It's early Sunday morning...

No one is particularly keen to smile!

Everyone much happier once walk underway!

Tara, Polina, Queenie, Chiara, Nicole, Mink and Ningwa enjoying the view

Friday night fun

Friday nights are always slightly more relaxed than other weekday nights and board games are often a popular choice after prep.  Lots of fun and laughter playing Uno and Telestrations this Friday!

Fonthill and Hall Heroes!

Term got off to a very successful start for Fonthill with judges deciding that Fonthill and Hall were the winners of this year's House Music competition for their performance of 'Holding out for a Hero'!! As the standard of the singing and dancing was particularly high this year, it was the exceptional energy levels and coordination of all the Fonthill and Hall students which most impressed the judges.
It was also lovely listening to Alice, Molly, Ellie, Menina and Alix singing OneRepublic's  "Counting Stars" accompanied by Daisy on the piano and Jenny on her violin together with many other instrumentalists from Hall in the House Ensemble.
Many congratulations all round!
