Congratulations to Emma and Jess!

Winners of this year's House awards go, coincidentally, to our outgoing and incoming Heads of House - Emma and Jess.

'Spirit of Fonthill' is given each year to a girl who embodies the spirit of our House through her positive attitude towards House and School life, showing kindness to others, volunteering to help peers and/or staff, or willingly offering to participate in House events.  It's the students' choice and this year it was lovely to see so many different people nominated across all year groups.  However, Emma won the majority of girls' votes, being described as 'always positive and happy', 'always around to talk to and been to support everybody's House matches' and 'always so enthusiastic about everything Fonthill' with 'boundless enthusiasm and positivity'.

'Wright Way' is for somebody who has trodden the right path and who goes that extra mile to help out; somebody who is pro-active, seeing what needs to be done before being asked, or somebody who acts with humility not seeking limelight.  It is always a hard decision for Fonthill tutors as there are so many girls this could apply to; however, this year, we awarded it to Jess who we feel embodies the description perfectly;  making a video for our fundraising assembly, or taking photos at multiple House and school events are just two examples of the many times she has worked hard behind the scenes without making any fanfare.

Many congratulations, Emma and Jess!!

Happy Times at House Entertainment!

There was lots of laughter at House Entertainment whether it was seeing how long you could stay on the bucking bronco, how many goals you could shoot (or save!) playing bungee football or how far back you could bend to win the limbo challenge!  Roisin was definitely this year's Limbo Queen!

Record Breaking Achievements at Sports Day!

Many congratulations to all girls who willingly (or bravely!) volunteered to compete in Sports Day.  Thanks to tremendous House spirit from all competitors, Fonthill scored very highly in all age groups and won the Senior event. There were many outstanding performances and record breaking times and distances - Athletics captain, Livi, broke the school record in all 3 of her events - 80m Hurdles, 100m Sprint and High Jump - AMAZING!! Other record breakers included Lucy, Liv S and Kate.
