Prefect Tea Party

Another British institution - afternoon tea!  Tea, scones, cream and strawberry jam, together with fresh strawberries and a selection of cakes were enjoyed by all the House prefects (and Amelia Faux!), to thank them for all their hard work this year.  We're going to miss them!

Boarder Barbecue!!

Despite our damp weather Brits love barbecues, and with the first (and possibly only!) weekend of sunshine and blue skies, there will have been barbecues held up and down the country last Sunday.  Kingswood School will have added to the statistics as boarders were treated to succulent burgers and other goodies courtesy of our inspirational catering team.

Row, row, row your boat...!

After passing their capsize training, rowers were ready to take to the river and couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather or calmer waters, and fortunately didn't need to put their capsize training into practice!

Issy, Merryn, Sabrina and Freya eagerly awaiting their turn on the water

Merryn concentrating hard!

Sabrina and Freya looking very professional!

Latin Jazz - Green Park Station

Great singing, music and weather drew hundreds into Bath for the opening night of Bath International Music Festival!  Green Park Station was THE place to be last Friday to listen to a fabulous range of Latin American songs performed very professsionally by Kingswood students and accompanied by the equally professional Kingswood Jazz Orchestra!  No sign of stage fright from any of our Fonthill girls!

Palm trees and musicians' exotic attire help add to the atmosphere!

Jess and Emma about to take to the dance floor?!

Izzy very much at ease on the stage!

Eloise in full swing!

County Singles Success

Within just two weeks of her success in the County Doubles, Ella has now been crowned Under 16 County Singles Champion. Congratulations, Ella. Where next?.....Wimbledon?!

Swimming Success!

Thanks to the team of very strong swimmers who won 12 out of 14 races, Fonthill House won last week's House swimming gala!! In addition to great performances by Sophie, Amelia, Meg, Esther, Esmee, Izi and Grace, Amelia broke two school records in Butterfly and the Individual Medley.

Great cheers rose around the pool at the end of the gala as Mr Opie announced the very exciting news that Amelia will be representing Great Britain at this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.  Good Luck, Amelia!!

Strawberries and Ice Cream!

Girls entered into the summer spirit with strawberries and ice cream on Saturday evening, even if the weather insisted on remaining wintery!
Interesting poses from Zoe and Medha!

Is Pili force feeding Cielle or is she happy to try her white chocolate Magnum?!

Capsizing Capers!

Looks as though Agnes enjoyed the Sunday morning capsize drills in Kingswood swimming pool in preparation for their rowing on the river Avon, but not quite so sure about Issy!
