Snow Time.....!

A stillness fell over Kingswood School as the snow began to fall, and kept falling....

Steps?..what steps?!

Rush hour on Lansdown Road!

And then the silence was broken with shrieks of delight as all the boarders enjoyed a fun afternoon sledging, snow balling and snowman building!

 

Even staff couldn't resist the fun of sledging!

And Rupert didn't want to miss out on the fun either!

Once the chilling temperatures became too much to bear, everyone piled inside for hot chocolates and a pampering session and card games!

This was certainly unlike any usual term time Friday, and was much enjoyed by all!

Chinese New Year Celebrations

Fonthill girls had a lovely evening joining over 20 Hong Kong and Chinese boarders from the Kingswood community, celebrating the start of the Year of the Dog with a meal and karaoke at a restaurant in Bath...

Whilst out celebrating, those girls left in House weren't treated to quite such a feast but had made a special request for a firm, international favourite - chicken nuggets!

Spreading the Love....

Fonthill girls enjoyed preparing bags of sweets for our traditional Valentine's fundraising activity and, together with a large range of home-baked cakes, managed to raise just under £300 for our two House charities - Sands (stillbirth and neonatal death charity) and Kenyan Restart Centre (providing a safe home for many of Kenya's vulnerable street children).
